Course Overview

Nature art header.png

By practicing simple drawing and mindfulness techniques, participants will create unique drawings of nature. Each class will focus on different aspects of nature – clouds, trees, leaves, and flowers. Participants can choose their own medium – pencil, pen, markers, or drawing app on their phone. The instructor will demonstrate drawing techniques while focusing on mindfulness and encouraging creativity. In each class, participants will create several practice drawings and a final drawing. Participants will be able to use the drawing techniques taught in these classes to better observe and draw the world around them in the future.

As stated by Stefanie Medford, “drawing is a great way to practice mindfulness because it allows you to be focused in the present moment - in what’s happening right in front of you.”

Artists, non-artists, and children are welcome to join.
